September 26 (Saturday) 16:00, 2026也许是从一次失去平衡开始。身体纵身跃下，方向感暂时消失；也许是走入一座陌生的城市，在与陌生人的相遇中逐渐靠近另一种生活；又或者，是试图进入另一个人的内心，却发现人与人之间始终存在着无法被完全抵达的距离。《纵身跳入》聚集三位艺术家在上海及朱家角驻地期间展开的创作实践。她们从不同的方向出发：Valentina Bravo从身体与眩晕出发，关注失去平衡的瞬间；Camille Holtz通过行走、观看与收集，进入城市边缘以及他人的生活痕迹；温馨则从人与人的关系出发，寻找我们感知彼此、理解彼此的可能。她们所面对的并不是同一个具体的问题，而是一种共同的状态，当我们试图靠近世界时，原本清晰的边界开始发生变化。身体不再稳定，熟悉的空间变得陌生，他者也不再只是一个与自己相对的存在。“跳入”意味着一种主动进入未知的动作：进入身体的失重，进入陌生人的生活，进入人与人之间微妙而难以言明的关系。纵身跳入，恰恰是在失去确定性的那一刻，我们开始真正进入。How do we enter a world?
Perhaps it begins with losing our balance. The body leaps, and for a moment, we lose our sense of direction. Perhaps it begins by stepping into an unfamiliar city, gradually coming closer to another way of life through encounters with strangers. Or perhaps it begins with trying to enter another person’s inner world, only to find that there is always a distance between us that cannot be fully crossed.
Dive into You brings together three artists and the practices they developed during their residencies in Shanghai and Zhujiajiao. Each approaches this idea from a different perspective: Valentina Bravo explores the body and the sensation of vertigo, focusing on moments when balance is lost; Camille Holtz moves through the edges of the city, encountering and collecting traces of other people’s lives; and Maggie Wen looks to human relationships, exploring how we might sense, understand, and connect.
Their works do not address a single question. Instead, they share a common condition: when we try to move closer to the world, the boundaries we once took for granted begin to shift.
The body becomes unsteady. Familiar places become unfamiliar. And the other is no longer simply someone standing across from us.
To “dive” is to willingly step into the unknown—to enter the weightlessness of the body, the lives of strangers, and the subtle, often unspoken spaces between people.
To dive is to begin entering precisely at the moment when certainty falls away.

“这一系列油画通过游泳者和潜水员跳跃、俯冲与坠落的图像，探讨了眩晕感。我关注的是身体失去平衡与方向感的那一刻。我也思考这种感觉如何通过绘画本身来营造。我尝试运用色彩、构图、比例以及人物的位置安排，探索这些元素如何组合，使画面产生不稳定或令人迷失方向的感觉。这些画作试图将一种身体感受转化为图像构建的方式。”
“This series of oil paintings looks at vertigo through images of swimmers and divers jumping, diving, and falling. I am interested in the moment when the body loses its sense of balance and orientation.I also think about how this feeling can be created through the painting itself. I experiment with colour, composition, scale, and the placement of the figures, asking how these elements can be arranged to make the image feel unstable or disorienting.The paintings are an attempt to translate a physical feeling into the way an image is built.”

“2025年12月和2026年9月，我走遍了上海、杭州、厦门以及朱家角、乌镇等古镇的郊区。在那里，我遇见了当地人，拍摄了居民、游客和工人。
除了旅游区，我也关注那些沿水而建、即将被拆除的社区。在这些荒废的街道上，我收集了居民遗留下来的海报、钥匙和装饰品等物品。我不禁想，这些人如今又去了哪里？
通过这些面孔、建筑与物件，我试图描绘出自己在中国经历的个人肖像。”
“In December 2025 and September 2026, I walked in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xiamen, and in the suburbs of old water towns like Zhujiajiao or Wuzhen. Over there, I met people and photographed locals, tourists, and workers.
Next to the tourist areas, I also paid attention to neighborhoods built along the water that are going to be destroyed. In these abandoned streets, I collected objects such as posters, keys, and decorations that were left behind by the inhabitants. I wonder where these people live now.
With these faces, constructions, and objects, I am trying to create a personal portrait of my experience in China.”
（15 interviews included- work in progress) “我一直在探寻归属感，之前我做的项目也是相对人群独立的。这次我回到了人群，一开始我想探寻的议题很简单：你外在拥有的特质是否正是你的伙伴（朋友/家人/恋人）内心所持有的, 你的内在特质是否是你的伙伴（朋友/家人/恋人）外在拥有的。我在朱家角/上海驻地的采访的过程中，我发现我的问题照见的并不是一对一的关系，而更多一个人的生活经历、思维方式以及TA与世界产生连接的模式。也是很好笑，进入群体的时候照见了更多的其实是人的主体性。之前在巴西的时候，有个人告诉我他小时候看过一个电影，电影里面讲述着一个世界。这个世界里面的人和人都拥有触角，人们的触角可以感受他人的想法以及情绪，但是因为各种原因人的触角的感知力慢慢消失了。他跟我说看完这个电影之后，他想找这部电影就再也找不到了。虽然这个作品现在是以文字的形式展现，但是我希望这个作品可以触动那些消失的触角:) ““Although this work is now presented in the form of text, I hope it can reach some parts of our lost antennae 🙂My works has always explored on the subject of belonging. The projects I made before were relatively independent of other people. This time, I am looking to explore how we are a product of our environment, and at a more micro level how the people we associate with influence our characters and traits. During my interviews at the residency, I realized my question wasn’t really about one-to-one relationships. It was about people’s life experiences, their ways of thinking, and how they connect with the world. I began by looking at how friends, family members, and partners influence our traits, but I ended up mirroring individual subjectivities.When I was in Brazil, someone told me about a film he watched as a child. It was set in a world where everyone had antennae. With them, people could sense each other’s thoughts and emotions, but for various reasons the antennae gradually lost their sensitivity. He told me that after watching it, he tried to find the film again, but never could.Although this work is now presented in the form of text, I hope it can reach some parts of our lost antennae :)”
