Małgorzata Kubicka
Małgorzata Kubicka is a versatile Polish author working at the intersection of visual arts, theatre, and journalism. Her creative output seamlessly blends academic expertise in art history and dramatic theory with a dynamic contemporary voice and sharp social observation.
Her work includes theatrical drama (including plays staged at the Jan Kochanowski Powszechny Theatre in Radom), television screenwriting (Sędzia Anna Maria Wesołowska, Sąd rodzinny), published children’s fiction, and extensive heritage journalism. For years, she has been passionate about architectural detail, historic tenement houses, and ceramic craftsmanship—serving as Lead Editor for the quarterly journal Wokół Płytek Ceramicznych (Around Ceramic Tiles) and contributing to architectural cataloging projects with the Hereditas Foundation supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (MKiDN).
By combining a sensitivity to architectural beauty and literary craftsmanship, she delivers a unique voice: an author capable of addressing complex cultural themes with lightness, wit, and narrative drive.
Previous Works

“As part of the III RADOM ODWAŻNY FESTIVAL, my drama “SUPERMARKET” was performed on the stage of the Jan Kochanowski Powszechny Theatre in Radom in 2004, and in 2006 my drama “SPADEK” was also performed on that stage. ”

Part I: “In Pursuit of Lost Time” (or “The Triumph of Mediocrity”)

The novel is a brilliant, satirical, and morally charged response to the challenges of modernity. The title directly engages with Marcel Proust’s work, juxtaposing the 19th-century slowness and celebration of the moment with the fast-paced life of a modern woman in the “global village.”

The main character, Zuza Kowalska, races through the world in Doc Martens boots, struggling with the urban rush, lack of time, insecurities, and the fear of missing out (FOMO).
