Anna Barlik is a visual artist whose work focuses on sculptural installations exploring the relations between space, perception, and human experience. Her practice is rooted in drawing as a meditative and structural process, guiding the development of sculptural and spatial compositions. Working primarily with powder-coated steel and minimalist arrangements, she creates frameworks that invite viewers to become active participants, engaging with architecture, public space, and the subtle interplay of presence and memory.

Barlik’s installations often investigate how minimal forms can carry complex emotional and social weight. Her project Datament, presented at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale (Polish Pavilion) in 2023, examines how abstract structures can translate collective experience into spatial form. She has also expanded her practice internationally through residencies such as Art Omi in New York, where she continued to develop her research into perception, spatial relations, and the poetics of constructed environments.

Across her work, Barlik is committed to creating spaces that heighten awareness, open new modes of experiencing the built world, and foster connections between people, place, and the quiet potential of form.

She is a professor of Polish Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw, Poland where she teaches visual perception and sculpture.
