Roberto Mongardini是一位钢琴家、声学研究员和作曲家，专攻电影和电子音乐，现居意大利罗马。

Roberto Mongardini is a pianist, acoustic researcher, and composer specializing in film and electroacoustic music, based in Rome, Italy.

He holds a degree in Composition from the Conservatory “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, a degree in Music Composition & Theory from the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland, and has studied Film Music at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and Electronic Music at the National Academy of Music “Santa Cecilia.”

Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in Artistic Research at the Conservatory “Agostino Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto, where he is investigating gestural transduction for audiovisual generation as a form of neurocognitive stimulation. His research explores the conversion of physical and sonic gestures into the manipulation of autogenerative algorithms for sound and image modeling, focusing on the performer’s relationship between mind, body, sonic imagination, and neurocognitive feedback processes.

Roberto’s work culminates in the creation of electroacoustic performances that function as neurocognitive pathways for the performer, emphasizing the interaction between gesture, sound, and advanced sensor-based systems (such as EMG, IMU, and body tracking) within spatial audio environments. This research is conducted in collaboration with the Department of Neurology at the Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine.
