About ACENTRICSPACE – ACENTRICSPACE®无央空间

ACENTRICSPACE®无央空间是一家由艺术家创立和运营的独立艺术空间与艺术家驻地，位于上海朱家角。

成立于2017年的ACENTRICSPACE持续通过艺术家驻地、当代艺术展览、交流活动及社区项目，为来自不同国家和文化背景的艺术家提供生活、创作、研究与交流的空间。

我们并不试图建立一个固定的艺术主题，也不要求艺术家以特定的方式进行创作。相反，我们更关注时间、空间与具体环境如何影响艺术实践。

在ACENTRICSPACE，艺术家可以在这里生活一段时间，继续正在进行的创作，发展新的研究，或者仅仅从一个不同于日常生活的环境中重新观察自己的实践。

自成立以来，ACENTRICSPACE已经接待来自30多个国家和地区的200多位艺术家，并持续与艺术家、文化工作者以及朱家角当地的艺术社区建立联系。

我们相信，一个独立艺术空间的价值不仅在于展示作品，也在于创造一种能够让艺术实践持续发生的环境。

朱家角是ACENTRICSPACE的重要组成部分。

这里既位于上海，又与上海中心城区保持着不同的生活节奏和空间关系。历史街区、河流、居民社区、艺术家工作室以及不断变化的城市边缘共同构成了这里独特的地方语境。

ACENTRICSPACE希望成为这种语境中的一个开放节点，让不同背景的人在这里短暂相遇、工作、生活和交流。

ACENTRICSPACE® is an artist-run independent art space and artist residency based in Zhujiajiao, Shanghai.

Founded in 2017, ACENTRICSPACE has developed its practice through artist residencies, contemporary art exhibitions, exchanges, and community-based projects, providing artists from different cultural and geographical backgrounds with time and space to live, work, research, and develop their practice.

Rather than operating around a fixed artistic theme or requiring a specific outcome, ACENTRICSPACE focuses on how time, place, and encounter can shape artistic practice.

Artists are invited to live and work here for a period of time, continue an ongoing project, develop new research, or simply experience their practice from within a different cultural and geographical context.

Since its establishment, ACENTRICSPACE has hosted more than 200 artists from over 30 countries and regions, while developing ongoing connections with artists, cultural practitioners, and the local artistic community in Zhujiajiao.

We believe that the value of an independent art space lies not only in presenting artworks, but also in creating an environment in which artistic practices can develop over time.

Zhujiajiao is an essential part of ACENTRICSPACE's context.

Located on the western side of Shanghai, Zhujiajiao exists between the metropolitan environment of Shanghai and a more locally rooted landscape shaped by waterways, historic neighborhoods, residential communities, artist studios, and ongoing urban transformation.

ACENTRICSPACE operates within this particular context, creating a space where artists and people from different backgrounds can temporarily live, work, encounter one another, and exchange ideas.
